VISION 10 - PROGRAMMES OF
DG RAJENDRA
KHANDELWAL 1. "HEART TO HEART" - (Heart Surgeries for Children) Minimum 200 children heart surgeries during the year. Each Club can sponsor a child with minimum @ Rs, 20,000/- per case, subject to medical approval by heart surgeons at BM Birla and R.N. Tagore Heart Centres 2. "NAYASAVERA" (Mission Vision) 30,000 IOL surgeries and free spectacles, during the year. 3. "HAAT BADHALEI BONDHU' (Partners in Service) Formation of at least one new RCC / Rotaract / Interact / Rotary Club during the year by each club. 4. "ROTA SCHOOL" (One Teacher School) Formation of one Teacher Non-formal School in villages by each club preferably in their RCCs with the support of District, during the year together with distribution of 10,000 School bags, water bottles and pencil box for needy children. 5. "KALLOLINI" (Green Kolkata, Clean Kolkata) 10,000 new tree plantations during the year in and around Kolkata and each club to plant minimum Hundred trees, maintain it with tree guards and Rotary Logo on it in association with Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Kolkata Police, local RCC Clubs and other NGOs. 6. "SUKANYA UPOHAR' (Support to girl child) Each Club to adopt a girl student and support her studies with school fees, books and dresses till graduation. 7. "PANI RE PANI" (Save Water Campaign) Each Club to take up save water campaign in schools and in community encouraging drain water harvesting awareness about arsenic free water usage. Putting up free water Kiosks and pay and use toilets and toilet blocks in association with Sulabh Souchalay 8. "MAA O SISHU" (Mother and Child Health Care) To set up permanent Mother and child health check up Clinics and to support pregnant mothers and ailing children with proper Medicare and nutrition. Regular child health check up camps in schools. 9. "SUSWASTHA" (Health Awareness, Screening & Treatments ) Disease prevention camps especially in area of Malaria, AIDS, Dengue, Swine Flue, Thalassaemia, Blood grouping, Blood Donations, Screening of Thalassaemia Carriers through permanent health clinics and monthly check up camps with the help of Rotary Medical Corps. To take out a Rotary Health Directory during the year. Distribution of 10,000 mosquito nets through RCCs 10. "SATHI HATH BARANA" (Support for challenged Children) Support for mentally/ physically/ otherwise challenged children through education, treatment, entertainment and restoration of dignity by supporting to the specialized organisations and homes. And ASHTARAAG (Welfare of senior citizens) Rotary Bus Shelters, Distribution of Cycle Vans through micro finance, formal training to the unemployed youths for driving and placements. |
