President Sutanu Ghosh informed members that this year we are executing
one of the largest project undertaken in the history of the club, which involves
various kinds of immunization of more than 25,000 children at St. Thomas Home,
Howrah. The total cost of the project is about USD 55,000 equivalent to
INR 26.0 lacs, which is supported by The Rotary Foundation and the
Rotary Club of Viersen-Schwalm-Nette, Germany and the
Rotary Club of Horst-Sevenum-Maasdorpen, The Netherlands.

At the request of the President the Chairperson of the International Service
Committee, Rtn. Debashis Mitra escorted two babies with their mothers and
requested our Chief Guest, Prof. Bikash Sinha to administer the oral vaccine
to them to initiate the project.
