Rtn. Shekhar Mehta, Rl Director Nominee 2011-13, Zone 6A Shekhar Mehta joined Rotary in the year 1985 and was President in the Year 1991-92. He is a member of Rotary Club of Calcutta Mahanagar, RI District 3291. Shekhar Mehta served the District as District Governor in the millennium year, 1999-2000. Shekhar Mehta did his graduation from St. Xavier's College and M. Com from Calcutta University. He is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He is a builder heading the Skyline Group of Companies. Shekhar Mehta has led some of the biggest projects not only in his District but also in many other Districts in India. He started the Shelter Kit programme which in just one year has served six disasters in India—distributing more than 4,000 shelter kits at a cost of Rs.2 crores in Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. He has been International Trainer at Anaheim, USA for two consecutive years. He was the Representative of District 3290 (Now 3291) to the Council on Legislation at Chicago in 2004. Shekhar Mehta is married to Rashi a past president of the Inner Wheel Club. |
